Title | : | The Impact of Exchange Rate Fluctuations on Private Domestic Investment Performance in Nigeria |
Country | : | Nigeria. |
Authors | : | Jonathan O. Oniore || Emily Gyang || Kenneth U. Nnadi |
Abstract:Since September 1986, when market determined exchange rate system was introduced, the naira exchange rate has exhibited the features of continuous depreciation and instability. This instability and continued depreciation of the naira in the foreign exchange market has resulted to declines in investments as a result of high degree of uncertainty in the Nigeria business environment, standard of living of the populace and increased cost of production which leads to cost push inflation. Against this background, this research seeks to undertake an empirical analysis of the link between exchange rate fluctuations and private domestic investment in Nigeria............

The data sets on interest rate and inflation covered the period of January, 1995 to December, 2014. Johansen cointegration test was adopted to ascertain whether there is the existence of long-run relationship between the two variables and vector error correction model (VECM) of granger causality was also employed to accommodate the long run and short run relationship and to find out whether the flow of relationship is bi-directional or unidirectional........

Title | : | Impact of NGOs on Income of Women |
Country | : | India |
Authors | : | Supriya S Deshpande |
Abstract:Women development is considered to be significant for overall development of the country. It has been realized by the policy makers and development planners that until and unless this segment of the population is brought to the mainstream, it is not possible to achieve more pragmatic goals. Government has been taking several measures for upliftment of women. But due to complexity of the problem various voluntary efforts are also required.

Authors | : | Dr. T.Sampathkumar || S.Rajeshkumar |
Abstract: This study investigates the relationship between export and economic growth in the SAARC countries during 1990-91 to 2012-13. The nature and direction of relationship between export and economic growth was examined by applying cointegration and Granger Causality tests. The obtained results showed that there is unidirectional causation from economic growth to export for Bangladesh and India, and bidirectional causation was found for Afghanistan and Sri Lanka and no causation was obtained for Bhutan, Maldives, Nepal and Pakistan...........

Country | : | India |
Authors | : | Dr Sayantani Roy Choudhury || Mr Debarghya Bagchi |
Abstract: The paper, tried to find out the basic reasons behind financial exclusion in a developing country like India. It also tried to analyse the reasons behind very slow improvement in this aspect. Going through the response of 100 respondents from different location of West Bengal, India, it showed 'work status', 'head of the family's saving habit', 'education' and 'location' have significant relationship with financial exclusion. Further, the paper tried to analyse the fact that all these variables act as reasons as well as effects of financial exclusion and therefore, it becomes really difficult to reduce the amount of financial exclusion from a developing countries like India.
